The NVFOA Hall of Fame
committee, is proud to recognize the following past members who have been
inducted into the NVFOA Hall of Fame:
Jim Bauer -
2001
Jim was a working
member of the NVFOA for at least 25 years and possibly as long as
thirty. He worked every position, as most officials did when he
started, however he spent the vast majority of his time as an umpire and
referee. With the early NVFOA records incomplete, it has been
concretely established that Jim served at least five terms on the board;
at least two years as banquet chairman; and at least two years as the
interpreter. As his career ended due to ill health, Jim stayed
with the association a brief while to serve as an observer.
Charlie Fenimore - 2001
Charlie was a working
member of the NVFOA for 24 years and regularly worked the positions of
field judge (now line judge); back judge; and referee. He served
as the association Secretary-Treasurer for 17 years and 1 month; longer
than any other association member.
Tony Maestri - 2001
Tony was a working
member of the NVFOA for 29 years and regularly worked the positions of
field judge (now line judge) and referee (twenty years). He served
ten terms as a board member; he served four years as the interpreter;
Tony also took a turn at chairing the banquet committee. He served
on numerous other committees including the clinic committee, the
contract committee, and the review committee. He was also
Parliamentarian on numerous occasions. Being a native of New York
City, Tony was known for his direct, no holds barred approach to
fairness and honesty. His one and only concern was, whatever was
best for the NVFOA.
