Football Officials Foundation, Ltd.

The Northern Virginia Football Officials Foundation, Ltd. (NVFOF) is a separate organization established by members of the Northern Virginia Football Officials Association, Inc. (NVFOA) to develop and sponsor a scholarship program.  Established in 1997, the NVFOF gave its first three $1,000.00 scholarships in 1998.

This scholarship offer is open to a graduating senior from any high school, which currently has its football games officiated by the NVFOA.  The nominations, which come through the athletic department, are open to players, trainers, managers, and cheerleaders of the varsity football program. 

The major source of funds for the scholarships comes from an annual golf tournament.  The NVFOF has applied for non-profit status to enable the program to expand in other areas to hopefully increase the number of scholarships and enlarge the individual amount of the awards.
